Mexican Hot Chocolate

The best way to end a stressful week in my world is drinking a cup of hot chocolate. Add a comforting soundtrack of contemporary Iranian music mixed with the sound of rain pouring outside, and you'll have yourself a very relaxing setting that will wash away all the stress which have been accumulated during the week.
I have tried many recipes for hot chocolate, and nothing really satisfied me until I came across David Lebovit's recipe for hot chocolate. His suggestion of adding unsweetened cocoa powder did the trick and took away the extra sweetness that made me wary of hot chocolates.
I doubt that Mexican sweet chocolate can be found in Iran, so I played with the recipe a little and found a way to substitute for the Mexican sweet chocolate. Here I'm sharing with you both versions.

Yields about 3 cups
2 cups whole milk
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, natural or Dutch processed
Pinch of salt
3 ounces Mexican sweet chocolate, chopped*

*Instead of Mexican sweet chocolate, you can use 2 ounces of bittersweet chocolate with 2 tablespoons sugar, and a pinch of cinnamon

In a medium saucepan, heat the milk with the cocoa powder and salt, whisking constantly until it comes to a full boil.
Remove from heat and add the chocolate, whisking gently until it’s completely melted. If desired, blend the mixture with an immersion blender until smooth. (If you chop your chocolate in small pieces you won't really need to use a blender)
Serve warm.
